Hinged Fly and Insect Window Screens

• Slide the brush pile into the grooves in the flyscreen frame
• Use the corner keys to mitre the screen sections together
• Lay the mesh over the back of the completed frame
• Insert the spline into the groove on the back of the frame to secure the mesh then trip the excess mesh from the screen
• Manouvre the build off into place and fix to the wooden frame with screws
• Manouvre the window screen into place on the build off
• Attach the thumb turns to the build off and set to vertical to secure the screen
• Each side of the screen should cover the opening by a minimum of 20mm to allow the nylon brush in the rear of the screen to make a seal

• Open the window and manouvre the screen into place
• Attach the thumb turns to the window frame and set to vertical to secure the screen
• Each side of the screen should cover the opening by a minimum of 20mm to allow the nylon brush in the rear of the screen to make a seal

• Lay the mesh over the back of the completed frame
• Insert the spline into the groove on the back of the frame to secure the mesh then trip the excess mesh from the screen
• Decide which way you want to hang the screen - side or top. Secure one half of each hinge to the edge of the screen using the self cutting screws
• Secure the hinges no less than 100mm from the corner of the screen. it is preferable to use a cord less drill with a PH2 screw driver bit
• To side hinge screens position both hinges the same way
• To top hinge screens position hinges to face either inwards or outwards
• Slide the second part of the hinge over the fixed part before positioning the screen over the window
• Allow the screen at least 20mm of cover and mark the bottom hole of each hinge
• Line up the second part of each hinge to mark the marks and screw to the frame using the wood screws
• Lift the screen over and onto the hinges, the screen will now swing open
• Hold the screen closed with the turn buttons

These strong, durable aluminium framed fly and insect screens are designed specifically for industrial and commercial use. Our hinged fly /insect screens have mitred corners and a flat smooth face that make them unobtrusive and easy to clean.

With the aid of specially tailored sub-frames this fly/insect screen can be fitted over many different types of windows and openings protecting against flies, bees, wasps, midges and other flying insects.

Each hinged fly and insect screen has a built in nylon brush pile in the back that crushes against every surface to form the perfect seal, allowing only fresh air in.

A variety of mesh materials and weave sizes can be fitted to suit individual requirements. Meshes can be replaced many times without the need of new framework.

All our fly and insect screens are powder coated and are available in White or Brown. The insect screens can be cleaned with a domestic cream cleaner as and when required.
